Being a mentor allows me to share my knowledge based on personal experience to assist the students in making better informed decisions. I'd like not to be there just to provide information but to help them in growing their capacity to be able to solve the problems in the future independently. To me this is a rewarding experience as I feel I am giving back to the society.
Working with students has been such a rewarding experience! I understand how overwhelming it can feel to plan something as significant as studying in a new country, and I'm grateful I could help ease some of that stress. It reminded me why I love mentoring: being able to provide reassurance and help someone take those first steps toward their dreams.
